Privacy Policy

For the “Compact” (合妆) iPhone app · Last updated: October 31, 2026

In short: Compact doesn't collect your personal information, and it doesn't send any data to us or to third parties. Details below.

What we don't collect

• No sign-up or login. There are no accounts.
• No name, phone number, email, location, contacts or device identifiers.
• No analytics, advertising or third-party tracking tools.
• The app itself doesn't use the network, and there is no server receiving your data.

What is stored on your phone

So you can see your history, Compact keeps the following in the app's own storage, on your phone only:

• Daily challenge results: the date, the best score for each level, the number of tries, and which pigments and drops made the best score (the recipe).
• Colors you mixed under “My Colors”: the color's 5-character challenge code, best score, tries and recipe. The most recent 100 are kept.

None of this leaves your phone. Deleting the app deletes it.

Photos

When you use “Mix My Color”, Compact uses the system photo picker. The app can read only the one photo you choose, and cannot browse your library. It reads the color around the spot you tap, on your phone, and keeps only that color. The photo itself is never saved or uploaded.

Sharing and copying

Only when you tap Share or Copy does Compact create a card image or text and hand it to the iPhone share sheet or clipboard. Where it goes next depends on the app you choose; please see that app's privacy policy.

Feedback

In the app, the envelope icon at the top left of History opens a draft email to us in your mail app. The end of the email is prefilled with the app version, iOS version and device model to help us find problems. You send the email yourself and can edit or delete that text first. We use it only to reply to you and fix issues.

Children

Compact doesn't collect information from anyone, so it doesn't collect information from children either.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes how data is handled, we'll update this page first and mention it in the app's release notes. The date at the top shows the last change.
