FAQ
- Where does each day's color come from?
- It is worked out on your phone from the date, with no internet needed. For the same day and level, everyone gets the same color, and it can always be mixed exactly.
- What's the difference between Everyday, Date Night and Party?
- Only how complex the target is: up to 3 drops for Everyday, 4 for Date Night, and up to 6 for Party, with more pigments each time. The pass mark is 70 on all three. Your streak only counts Everyday.
- How do I mix “My Color”, and how does a friend mix the same one?
- Tap the photo icon at the top right of the home screen, pick a photo and tap a spot. You get a target color and, under the pan, a 5-character challenge code; tap Copy and send it. Your friend pastes it into the box at the top of the same screen and taps Use.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. Compact reads the color on your phone and neither saves nor uploads the photo. See the Privacy Policy.
- Why can't I get 100?
- Every daily target has a recipe that scores 100. A color from a photo can lie outside what the 12 pigments can make; then 100 is scored against the closest color they can make.
- Will my results survive a new phone?
- Results are stored only on this phone. A full iPhone backup or “Transfer to a New iPhone” carries app data over; deleting the app erases it.
- Are these real cosmetic shades?
- No. On-screen colors vary with lighting and the display. Compact is a color-mixing game; it doesn't match real product shades and has no virtual try-on.
- I only got the picture when I shared. Where's the text?
- Some chat apps keep only the picture when they receive a picture plus text. Tap Copy Text on the preview screen and paste it yourself.
